We accept new NHS and Private patients.
Appointments can be made by telephone, email or in person by calling into the practice. Every effort will be made to arrange an appointment time to suit you. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let reception know as soon as possible so as we can offer it to someone else.
An administration charge is made for all missed and late cancelled appointments.
At your first visit to the practice, reception staff will greet you and will ask you to complete a simple medical history questionnaire which takes a few minutes.
If you have any problems, we will give you any help you need. Please bring a list of any medications that you are currently taking including self-prescibed and health supplements.
Your dentist will then meet you, and after introduction will discuss your personal dental needs, dental history and any concerns you might have about your teeth or any future treatment. The purpose of this visit is to get to know you, listen to what you have to say and to examine your teeth and gums thoroughly. This will usually involve an oral cancer screen, thorough tooth evaluation recording gum health. Then any relevant radiographs (x-rays) will be taken to aid complete diagnosis, this usually would involve two small radiographs to check between the back teeth and under any existing fillings.
We can give you an estimate of treatment cost including any alternative and cosmetic options.
We encourage regular dental check up and arrange to send a reminder for you.
We would like to assure all our patients this practice adheres to the current guidelines from the BDA and RQIA in respect to patient safety, particularly cross infection.
We use disposable products where possible and can decontaminate all reusable instruments in the proper manner. All our team members undertake refresher training in these procedures often, and are happy to discuss them with you at appropriate times if asked.
At Cherryvalley Dental Care, we respect your time and schedule.
Contact us by phone with at least 24 hours notice, and we can reschedule to a more suitable time while offering someone else your appointment. We charge a fee of £10 for every missed or late cancelled 15 minute slot.
We can always add your name to our short notice cancellation list to try to speed up your treatment with us. An up-to-date mobile number is best to avail of this service- operated by text.
Special arrangements can be made to provide home visits for patients who are unable to attend the surgery.
There is no extra charge for home visiting services on the NHS.
We are able to offer our patients with mobility problems access to all our services on the ground floor. Please let us know when arranging your appointments if you need this facility.
